In the old town, at Sendlinger Tor

The hotel is in the Altstadt, Munich’s old town, at the start of the Sendlinger Strasse pedestrian zone, and much of the centre is within walking distance. Through the pedestrian zone you reach Marienplatz with the town hall and its glockenspiel in five minutes, and the Viktualienmarkt is only a few steps further. Beyond Sendlinger Tor begins the Glockenbachviertel, with its cafés and small shops. What there is around Marienplatz is described on Hotel near Marienplatz.

The main station is a ten-minute walk. Six underground lines stop at Sendlinger Tor – the U1, U2, U3, U6, U7 and U8: the U1, U2, U7 and U8 take you to the main station in one stop, the U3 and U6 to Marienplatz in one stop, and the U2 runs without a change to the trade fair at Messestadt. Rooms for one to four guests

Our rooms sleep one to four guests: the single room of 16 m², the double room of 20 m², the large double room of 24 m² with a king-size bed, the twin room with separate beds (18 m²), the double room facing the courtyard (20 m²), the double room with shared WC (18 m²) and the family room of 35 m² for up to four guests. The rooms are quiet, all have a TV, and they can be taken as singles, doubles or triples.

The simple rooms cost less: the double room with shared WC and the double room facing the courtyard have a shower in the room and the WC on the floor, and the cheapest single room has its shower on the floor. They are cheaper than the rooms with shower and WC en suite.

A small, owner-run hotel

Hotel Atlanta is a small hotel in Munich, a bed-and-breakfast hotel with quiet rooms, run by its owner. Reception is open from 7.30 am to 10 pm, our staff know the city and are glad to help, and Wi-Fi is available on request. Every morning there is a breakfast buffet with cornflakes, fresh rolls, tea, coffee, milk and juice – see Breakfast.

Rates

A single room costs from €30 and a double room from €60; in the triple room you pay from €30 and in the quadruple room from €40 per person. During trade fairs separate rates apply, and for groups we quote the rate on request. All rates, with what each room includes, are on Rates.

Frequently asked questions

How far is Marienplatz?

Five minutes on foot. From the hotel you walk along the Sendlinger Strasse pedestrian zone to Marienplatz, passing the Asamkirche on the way. By underground it is one stop from Sendlinger Tor on the U3 or U6.

Is there parking?

Yes, at certain times: outside the hotel on Sendlinger Strasse parking is free on Sundays and public holidays and every day from 7 pm to 8 am. At other times use the Oberanger car park nearby. More on How to find us.

How do I get from the main station?

It is a ten-minute walk. With luggage the underground is easier: one stop on the U1, U2, U7 or U8 to Sendlinger Tor, then 50 metres to the door.
